The tenth biennial conference of the NAPCN will be hosted by the University of British Columbia (UBC) in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from July 10 to 14, 2002.

The event will be held at St. John's College (2111 Lower Mall, UBC campus). On-site registration will be available in the Social Lounge on July 10 and 11, 2002, starting at 8:00 a.m.

Accommodation for conference guests is available at the Gage Towers and West Coast Suites on UBC campus.

Escorts will be available at 8:00, 8:15, 8:30, and 8:45 a.m. on both days to walk registrants from the lobby of the Gage Towers to the pre-conference venue on July 10 and the conference venue at St. John's College on July 11.

The conference offers a forum for Personal Construct Psychologists and Constructivist Psychologists to exchange ideas within a friendly and intellectually stimulating environment. Scholarly interactions will be supported by formats such as:

  • • Internationally renowned keynote speakers
    • Pre-conference workshops
    • Plenary sessions
  • • Panel discussions (90 minutes)
    • Symposia (90 minutes)
    • Paper presentations (45 minutes)
    • Poster presentations (2 hours)
    • Workshop sessions
    • Student paper competition

Social events during the conference will include:

  • Opening reception at the Cecil Green Park House, a heritage mansion overlooking the Pacific Ocean with exquisite gardens.
    Banquet to be held at the UBC Faculty Club's Sage Bistro with vista views of the mountains and the ocean.
    Sightseeing tour of Vancouver on Sunday July 14.
