Bus transportation will be provided for all events.

The following events will take place at our conference headquarters building, Chicago Circle Center (CCC), 750 S. Halsted Street. Tickets are included with delegate and accompanying guest registration fees, but an indication of attendance on your registration form is requested to assist organizers in confirming catering and other arrangements. (Children under the age of 12 may attend these events without registering as accompanying guests.)

Delegates and their guests have the choice of Chicago Camerata’s chamber music selections, or the blues and jazz of The Skinny Williams Group.

Chicago Camerata’s four players are members of the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s musical staff. The group features William Cernota on cello, Eugene Pazin on first violin, Irene Radetzky on second violin, and Karl Davies on viola.

The Skinny Williams Group will feature six players, including Skinny Williams, Katherine Davis, and Erwin Helfer.

Farewell Reception
Friday, July 30, 4:30-6:00 p.m.

This informal event will close out the Symposium.

Tickets for the following events may be purchased with registration and are required for all attendees, including children under 12.

Picnic
Wednesday, July 28, 3:00-9:30 p.m.
Navy Pier
Tickets: $30 per adult, $15 per child (12 and under)

Shuttle service from campus and the hotels will begin at 2:00 p.m., for those who might like to spend the afternoon sampling Navy Pier’s array of restaurants, shops, attractions, and entertainment. (A discount coupon program is being arranged.) Festival Hall and the Grand Ballroom on the east end the Pier will serve as event headquarters. This eastern-most edge of the 3,000-foot long Pier offers the city’s best view of the spectacular skyline and lakefront, as well as quiet areas for discussion, conversation, or contemplation.

Food service, which will include a “Taste of Chicago” menu, will begin at approximately 5:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with Navy Pier’s spectacular Wednesday night fireworks show.

Banquet
Thursday, July 29—Reception beginning at 6:00 p.m.; dinner at 7:30.
